All Cans Dinner!

Is it possible? Can you really make a dinner with only canned food?

All Cans (almost...)

This recipe was adapted from the Hungry Girl cookbook. You can either throw everything in the slowcooker and put on low before work or heated together in a large pot.

Delicious. Easy. Warm. Comforting. Cheap. Good for you.

Cans Soup (originally called: Southwestern Surprise)– make your own name 🙂

1- 12.5 ounce can chicken breast (drained and rinsed)

1- 16 ounce bag frozen corn (or canned 🙂 )

2- 15 ounce cans black beans, reduced sodium (drained and rinsed)

1- 15 ounce can bark red kidney beans, reduced sodium (drained and rinsed)

3- 14.5 ounce cans no-salt-added diced tomatoes

1- 14.5 ounce can italian-style diced tomatoes

1 envelope reduced sodium taco seasoning

1 envelope ranch dip/dressing mix

Dump all ingredients into the slowcooker and mix. Turn on low and let it do its thing! If cooking on the stove, bring to boil then reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Top with reduced fat cheese. Enjoy!!

Do you have a go-to fast dinner? What is it? Is it good for you?
